The Commercial Section at the British High Commission provides practical assistance to Barbadian and British companies. Our services are focused in the areas of: helping local companies to source British products and services; providing assistance to those looking to set up an operation or expand an existing facility in Britain; and helping British companies looking to export or invest in Barbados.

We also co-ordinate British trade development and promotion activity in Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia and St Vincent and the Grenadines.

We offer a wide range of services to local and British companies:

• You can speak to one of our commercial officers or assistants about your specific needs. 

• We have a wide range of company and product information on British exporters, manufacturers and consultants, including directories and CD-ROMs. 

• We help to arrange trade missions where representatives from British companies travel to the Eastern Caribbean to meet potential agents, distributors or end users. Please contact us for details of up coming missions. 

• We have a list of Small Order Suppliers (SOS) – companies willing to supply small quantities. The list contains companies that know the Caribbean well and supply British goods and services. We can also provide you with a list of consolidators in the UK on request.

• We can provide information about trade fairs and exhibitions being held in the UK. Alternatively you can secure information about exhibitions and trade fairs being held in the UK. Click here to do so.

British Trade International has lead responsibility within government for trade development and promotion on behalf of British business. They support British exporters and investors, and attract investment into the United Kingdom. BRITISH EXECUTIVE SERVICE OVERSEAS (BESO)
BESO is an independent organisation funded by the British government and British industry. It offers the services of experienced persons to advise small and medium sized organisations in developing countries to help solve specific problems.
